::KICKED MY OWN ASS AND LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT::
::I just got back from a 5 mile run. Well 5 miles all together, not all at once. I had planned on getting my hair trimmed today and decided, instead of driving there, I was going to RUN there. From Fantastic Sams to my house is 2.5 miles one way ofcourse (well that's what it said when I googled it cause I'm NOTORIOUS for getting these things wrong!!! ). So I get there all sweaty and out of breath. From there I decided to get a quick bite at Subway. Took a little rest before headed for another 2.5 miles run. I must of taken atleast 1 hour of rest from getting my hair did and eating. And you were right Mo, you told me that it would get easier the second time around. The first time I ran which was last week, I almost gave up after just running down the block from where I live. This time around I actually must of ran 1 whole mile until I took my first brisk walk. Running outdoor IS so much better than the treadmill. Running outdoor, with every step is a new scenery. So 5 miles this time...next time I'm aiming for MO'!!::

I LOVE IT!!!
Girl, YOU inspire ME! I so thrilled that you decided to multi-task and literally RUN your errands. Doesn't it feel great? Most definitely, once you learn to enjoy running outdoors, the treadmill will get the boot! It's all baby steps, but when you get in the groove.. there is NO turning back! Promise me this though, as you begin to run more frequently, please visit a running speciality store and make sure you're wearing RIGHT shoe for your foot type. For example, if you have a high arch, low arch or are flat footed.. the wrong shoe can make a potentially awesome run into a "sucky" one. :) I've taken the liberty to look up a local upcoming 5/10k races (3.1 or 6.2 miles) check it out: http://www.race4humanity.org/ It will give you something to train for because it's all about setting goals and making them happen! To everyone else on Go Team MO: To check out all races in your area, just visit:http://www.active.com/ and you'll find all kinds of events and great tips on training and nutrition.
Enjoy your next run and can't wait till we get a chance to run together! Go RO Go :)

=)
:: Thanks for the race info Mo. I didn't even know there was a race so close to where I live! The only problem is, the day of the race is on the same day as my daughter's birthday. Something always seems to happen when I try to get involved in something like this. I even tried to register for a mudrun in camp pendlenton not too far from my area but when I finally got a team together, all 3 of the race days sold out! So if you know of any other races that is local to me please let me know. Thanks for looking into it. I wouldn't even know where or how to begin looking::
Double =) Back at you!
Since I knew what city you lived in, I did a search. Any and all racing activities, you can find on: http://www.active.com/- just type in the type of event (5/10k) and your city and it will pull up all the races within a 5,10,15 and 20 mile radius. :) Hope that helps and keep me posted on what event you decide to do! YAAAAY!!!
