Exhaling....

Getting
back into the swing of things has been a slow pace. The time I took off
from weights may have benefited me more than I realize. I didn't lose a
lot of strength, and it seems to come back quickly. So, this is good. I
am still doing good on my "5 year plan." The 22nd will begin the 4th
year.
I was looking way back at the beginning pics and
wow, I have come
a long way. I don't think of my weight loss and fitness plan as "wow, I
am almost at my 5 year goal...." I look at it as "gee, look what hard
work and perserverance can give back to you when you just hang in there
and don't give up!" I wish everyone would stay focused and maintain
their
fitness endeavors. Seems some get all excited, then.....fizzle out. Why
is that?
Personally, it is hard to stay motivated. Life has a way of throwing
obstacles in our way that knock us out of kilter for awhile. But you don't just quit when the barriers pop up! Still,
excuses are just that....excuses.
I don't want to wake up one day
thinking I should of done this, or could of done that! I want to
experience all of what my day can give me so that I can give back to
myself and others.
So, in the course of this day, I can say I am looking forward to my
4th year anniversary of weight training in two days, and my birthday of 49 years in 4
days!
Life is so precious. Each day new. Don't forget to make it
special for yourself and the others around you. Even if it is just for
the moment, SLOW DOWN and then, exhale to start it all over again.

Just wondering did you have to lose a lot of weight or did you just choose to change over to a more healthy lifestlye ?
